WARNING NOTICE TO VENDORS:
We are eager to see links proliferate to specific sources, softwares, and services in the OSINT world, but must respectfully point out that Wikipedia has very strick standards against advertising and self-promotion, and they have an effective delete process. Right now they are accepting of external links. We have proposed three sub-pages for sources, softwares, and services, that can in turn be used to link to individual pages for any source, software, or service. Evaluative comments can initially be placed in the Talk section rather than the main articel. One day I hope that Wikipedia will support "karma points" on specific offerings but right now, commercial offerings must be "notable" in relation to the OSINT page. In our view, limiting your Wiki page to a paragraph, and then having your home page as a Reference, is the right way to be part of the Wikipedia. LEXIS NEXIS is a good example NOT to follow. Jane's is closer to the mark. Brevity with relevance is the way to go.
COMMENT of 2 Jul 06.
OSS has transferred all of its commercial interests to others. OSS CEO will remain engaged with those clients who appreciate the revolutionary commitment to the truth that this organization embodies. All others will be served by apolitical project managers from other firms. The Republic is at grave risk. Today we post a press release suggesting that all who care for the truth support Wikipedia and the Co-Intelligence Institute. God Bless America and all who choose to live by the original ideals and value of the Founding Fathers.
